Wine Description
This is the third vintage of the Saturn Syrah from Vidon Vineyard estate fruit. The Syrah is made in a Cote Rotie style and co-fermented with 2.5% Viognier, also from the estate. It is one of only two Estate Syrahs grown and produced in the Chehalem Mountains AVA and one of only a handful in the whole Willamette Valley.
Tasting Notes
A cool-climate estate wine, the Saturn Syrah is the bridge between big reds from other New World regions and Oregon Pinot noirs. This wine is packed with black pepper, earthy mushroom, and deep floral notes. The Saturn Syrah is a delectable partner on the dinner table to wild mushrooms, duck, game, and dark chocolate cake.
