Wine Description
The fourth vintage using all estate-grown Tempranillo fuit. This is one of only a few cool-climate Tempranillos in the Chehalem Mountains. A warmer than average vintage, but with no real heat spikes and drier than normal conditions, resulted in extended hang time of the fruit.
Tasting Notes
Deep Garnet with a brick rim. Aromas of vanilla, lavender, sage and stewed cherries. Initial chewy tannins give way to Bing cherry, blueberry and pepper leading to cocoa nib on the midpalate. The long dusty finish is reminiscent of dried flowers.
