Aaron Kendall’s winemaking journey spans the globe, from the Finger Lakes to New Zealand, and ultimately to Oregon, where he found his true calling among the vines. With more than a decade of experience crafting world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, including his tenures at Adelsheim and Beaux Frères, Aaron joined Compris in 2023 to lead both the vineyard and cellar.
As a dedicated viticulturist, Aaron works closely with the land, embracing sustainable practices and incorporating biodynamic principles to nurture our estate. His expertise extends beyond Pinot Noir to fine-tuning the unique potential of varietals such as Syrah, Viognier, Tempranillo, and Gamay Noir, all of which flourish in our distinctive terroir.
Aaron’s winemaking philosophy is rooted in precision and a profound respect for the land’s character, crafting wines that not only express the personality of each varietal but also embody the spirit of our mission: to cultivate authenticity, foster connection, and push the boundaries of expectation.
