A winter sunrise of yellow and orange at Compris Vineyard in Newberg, Oregon.

Dear Compris Family and Friends,

February was a full and joyful month for the Compris team.

We kicked off our 2026 events calendar pouring at Art Elements for Newberg’s First Friday - Danielle’s first event with us - where we reconnected with familiar faces and met many new ones. The following day, we hosted our Behind the Blend experience, led by our talented winemaker, Aaron. A sold-out crowd gathered to explore how he crafts our flagship Pinot Noirs, As One and Mountain Echo. Each vintage carries its own terroir expression and barrel nuances, and hearing Aaron walk through his process never fails to captivate the room. Watching new connections form among guests made the afternoon even more special.

Dru and I then slipped up to Portland to pour for guests at The Nines, then to the Oregon Chardonnay Celebration the following weekend. We were honored to be selected for this incredible event highlighting Chardonnay grown exclusively in Oregon. We poured our 2021 Supernova Blanc de Blanc alongside our freshly bottled 2024 Wavelength Chardonnay - both warmly received - and it was a joy to connect with fellow Chardonnay producers and guests from near and far.

From there, we headed to Nashville for Wined Up!, a walk-around tasting with Tennessee wine enthusiasts supporting the fight against cancer. We were proud to be among the few Oregon wineries invited to participate in such a meaningful event. We’re also grateful Danielle held down the tasting room while we snuck in an extra day to enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of Nashville.

This week, we’re off to Utah to share our wines at events benefiting the National Ability Center - another cause close to our hearts. And we’ll close out the month with one of our favorite traditions: hosting our incredible club family for a lively gathering with live music and thoughtfully paired bites. We can’t wait.

Traveling near and far to share Compris continually reminds us what an extraordinary connector wine is. Whether it’s a shared bottle at dinner, a tasting flight at our vineyard, or a casual evening among friends, wine brings people together. Creating those moments - and lifting up causes that deserve support - is one of the greatest joys Dru and I experience in this work.

With the days growing longer, there’s more light to linger at the vineyard. This month, we’re pouring three new releases on the flight - 2024 Wavelength Chardonnay, 2023 Mountain Echo Pinot Noir, and 2023 Midnight Journey Syrah - alongside guest favorite 2023 As One Pinot Noir. Join us for our “Core Four” flight, the wines that form the backbone and heart of Compris.

We’re gearing up for a beautiful spring ahead and would love to share it with you.

Gratefully, Erin and Dru

Pouring Purpose Into Every Bottle

At Compris Vineyard, community begins in the vines and extends far beyond them. Our work is deeply intertwined with the people who care for the land, harvest the fruit, and make this valley what it is. That’s why supporting organizations that uplift and advocate for farmworkers feels not only important, but personal.

For the first quarter of the year, we’re honored to partner with Unidos Bridging Community, a Yamhill County–based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening relationships between Latino and non-Latino communities. Unidos supports farmworker and vineyard worker families through education, leadership development, citizenship assistance, youth programs, and wellness advocacy - building pathways to opportunity while honoring cultural identity and dignity.

Their mission reflects our belief that thriving vineyards depend on thriving people, and that a strong wine community is one where everyone is seen, supported, and valued. From January through March, a portion of proceeds from our As One Pinot Noir will support Unidos’ vital work. Together, we’re investing in connection, equity, and the people who help shape our shared agricultural landscape. DONATE & SUPPORT UNIDOS
