Wine Description
The Pommard clone for us is the drum in the bassline of our vineyard's song. We utilize this single clone expression of wine to highlight just that. When we talk about Pommard, we use terms such as rustic, bold, forest floor, firm structure. Fife and drum corps were critical in early military companies for communication, and our Pommard plays a similar role for our vineyard. The Smashing Pumpkins drum line in Drum & Fife is exactly what we think about when talking Pommard. ~Dru Allen
