Wine Description
Melody Maker spotlights Dijon 777, the “pretty” clone that naturally leans melodic: generous fruit, perfume, and an easy sense of flow. In 2021, warmth brought fullness, but Chehalem elevation and volcanic soils kept the wine from feeling heavy. We kept the cellar work measured, native fermentation and a restrained oak frame, so the fruit stays vivid and the spice feels woven in. It opens on mixed berries and subtle toast, deepens into warm spice and sun warmed fruit, finishing balanced and lingering like a hook you catch yourself humming later.
