Wine Description
Perpetual Sound is reserve Chardonnay chosen for completeness, the lot that holds richness and tension at the same time. In 2021, we had the season to see it clearly: early heat, then a long dry finish that let Block 3 carry ripeness without losing line. We kept the foundational choices, whole cluster pressing, intentional oxygen post press, native fermentation, then let time stretch out further in a single 600L puncheon. That extra élevage does not make the wine louder; it makes it longer. Think baked apple and lemon curd, toasted hazelnut and brioche, finishing savory and mineral, like a note that hangs in the air after the music stops.
