Wine Description
Midnight Journey is Syrah from the rocky edge of the estate, cool climate in structure, savory in tone. In 2022, Syrah and Viognier came in together at the end of harvest, and cofermentation brought perfume and lift to Syrah’s darker core. Marine sediment soils keep the wine tight and mineral, even in a warm finish to the season, while the oak program adds structure without smoothing away the detail. It opens on lilac and black olive with dried Italian plum, then moves into fennel pollen and firm tannins, finishing with a subtle saline line that feels like the place it came from.

Reviews
“Midnight Journey is not a Robert De Niro buddy movie. It is instead a fresh and lively cool climate Syrah-Viognier blend. Its aromas of loamy soil, black cherries and leather are, however, as dark as Max Cady's heart in "Cape Fear." Cherries and orange zest erupt on the tangy palate, as invigorating acidity drives flavors like cherries and Earl Grey tea. — Michael Alberty ”
