Wine Description
Moonlit Sky came in at the very end of 2022, Tempranillo hanging into October, building flavor slowly at modest Brix. That is exactly why we love it here: dark skinned, not destined to be heavy. Block 4A’s loess and wind influence push the wine toward lift and tension, and we leaned into that with a longer cold soak and a barrel program that adds warmth without losing line, including a Willamette grown American oak barrel that quietly deepens the spice. It opens earthy and high toned, cranberry and cherry, vanilla and nutmeg, then finishes lean, bright, and persistent.

Reviews
“Bigfoot sightings happen more frequently in the Willamette Valley than Tempranillo vine sightings. This rare treat is packed with aromas and flavors of vanilla-scented pipe tobacco, tart red cherries and even tarter hibiscus flower tea. Moonlit Sky is lighter-bodied fare that is lithe and graceful. — Michael Alberty”
