The Myth: Dick's 95 Clone Pinot Noir

Wine Description

The Myth is Dick’s 95 from loess, etched, lifted, built to run on tension. In 2022, the delayed season kept sugar accumulation in check while flavors built slowly in Block 4C. We treated it with restraint: native fermentation, classic extraction, and compact élevage designed to keep the wine’s line intact. It opens on dried cherry, plum, berry compote, dark chocolate, cedar, subtle herbs, then moves long and savory with fine tannins and a clear mineral spine. It does not ask for attention, it earns it.

In the cellar: Native yeast, 100% destemmed, 4 day cold soak, macro bins, pumpovers then punchdowns, 11 months French oak, 33% new

All Around the World (or The Myth of Fingerprints), Paul Simon. Named for a story that travels and lands here with its own imprint.

Aroma: Dried/roasted cherry, dark chocolate, plum jam, dried herbs, mixed berry compote, cedar

Taste: Savory, dry fruit, lithe, vibrant cherry core, pleasant acidity, and smooth, resolved tannins

It starts off with an earthy aroma mix of loamy soil and blackberry tea, followed by notes of Bing cherries, nutmeg and dark chocolate. The Myth feels smooth and nimble on the palate, with gentle acidity and integrated tannins. Its raspberry, lemon zest and clove flavors are delicate and spicy.
