Wine Description
Our less than half an acre of Tempranillo vines took a bit of a beating in '22 with a frost event that we had. The ramifications of such were felt in '23 with significantly diminished yields. As a result, we only had enough fruit to make a Rosé, but what a Rosé we made. Always looking for a silver lining, the smaller yield resulted in some concentrated fruit whose flavor profile shines in this wine. Drink it with some paella and you won't be disappointed! (I drank it with some popcorn and watched a movie and wasn't mad about that either...) ~Dru Allen
Tasting Notes
Our '23 Valley Skies Rosé of Tempranillo is a homage to the Willamette Valley sunsets, where the sky is adorned with shades of pink and orange. The aroma carries hints of raspberries, apple blossoms, shiso, and wet stone, capturing the essence of the valley.
On the palate, this rosé reveals notes of white raspberries, pineapple guava, and a hint of passion fruit. Inspired by the contemplative lyrics of the Foo Fighters, this wine embodies the satisfaction of a perfect summer evening.
Experience a refined sunset in every glass. Cheers!
