Wine Description
Roll up for the Mystery Tour - Viognier is back.
With just 11 rows and .18 acres on the estate, this wine will always be a rare bird—but every year it shows up with something to say.
Grown on the lower slopes of Compris Vineyard, where marine sedimentary soils bring a grounding note and savory edge, the 2024 Mystery Tour is a study in contrast: heady aromatics meet texture and lift, while a warm, generous palate tapers to a mouthwatering finish.
The nose is perfumed and vibrant—pear blossom, candied lime, cantaloupe rind—with savory layers of coriander seed, fresh-cut hay, and lilac. On the palate, it’s broad and composed, with a gently gripping texture that adds structure without weight. Lees stirring during élevage brought a deeper tone to the mid-palate, giving the wine quiet momentum from start to finish.
It’s all in the name. One barrel. No road map. Just trust the tour.
