February 1, 2025 |
Dear Compris Family and Friends,
This last month brought us a new year, new connections and reconnections, and a new member of our small team (read below to meet Ella!). Cool, crisp days intermixed with sunshine, rain, and moody fog kept the days interesting and unpredictable (which we honestly enjoy this time of year). 2025 is off to a great start for us and we are eager for the year ahead.
After the quiet of January and the reset that comes with the start of a new year, February is the perfect time to treat yourself to a moment of relaxation. Our cozy tasting room offers a peaceful escape where you can unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the calm winter views. Watch the fog drift in and out, while occasional rays of sunshine bring just the right amount of warmth to the day. Our new flight this month includes our estate grown Midnight Journey Syrah, a bold, comforting wine to savor as you embrace the winter season. Join us!
We appreciate you being on this journey with us! ~ The Compris Crew
We are excited to share that Ella joined the Compris team in early January as our Guest Experience and Marketing Coordinator! A recent graduate of Linfield University's Wine Studies program, Ella will share her passion and knowledge for wine and hospitality to create memorable experiences for our guests. We are thrilled to have her with us at Compris! Get to Know Ella!
This month, we're turning up the volume with Pearl Jam's "Given to Fly"—the inspiration behind our Reserve bottling of Pinot Noir. Just like the song, this wine captures a sense of freedom, adventure, and elevation. It evokes the feeling of soaring above the ordinary, letting go, and embracing the open sky.
This Pinot Noir is crafted from our best barrels, those destined for greatness, just like the ascending notes of the song. It’s a wine that’s both refined and untamed, with a finish that lingers, leaving you with the same sense of freedom and possibility that "Given to Fly" inspires.
We invite you to experience the harmony of music and wine, where the essence of both connects on a deeper level. "Given to Fly" isn't just a song—it’s a journey, and this wine is the perfect companion.
We are thrilled to be participating in the 6 of Clubs Wine Club Share this entire month! This collaboration with five other nearby wineries will provide our Compris Wine Club Members with the opportunity to visit each of our listed friends for a complimentary tasting for two and savings on wine bottle purchases. Members, be sure to visit us first to pick up your Card Deck and then book your tasting appointments! If you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to reach out!

At Compris Vineyard, giving back is part of who we are. Over the past three years, we’ve partnered with a different charitable organization each month to make a meaningful difference. In 2025, we’re taking a fresh approach, dedicating each quarter to one cause, allowing us to deepen our impact across four areas close to our hearts: child welfare, animal welfare, sustainability, and equitable opportunities for farmworkers.
From January through March, we’re proud to support Unidos Bridging Community. Based here in Yamhill County, Unidos strengthens connections between Latino and non-Latino communities, empowering individuals through programs like youth workforce development, citizenship classes, and advocacy for farmworker wellness. Their work aligns beautifully with our belief that strong communities are built when everyone has a seat at the table and the resources to thrive.
This quarter, every bottle of our As One Pinot Noir you enjoy helps advance Unidos’ mission of building bridges and creating opportunities. Together, we can raise a glass to connection, growth, and the vibrant spirit of our shared community. Learn more about Unidos’ inspiring work here.
