A snowy Compris Vineyard in March with the Willamette Valley and town of Newberg in the distance.

Dear Compris Family and Friends,

In February, we found ourselves traipsing through a beautiful forest in search of truffles, bottling rosé from 2024, witnessing our vines being pruned (it's truly impressive how quickly and precisely our vineyard stewards work!), hosting many wonderful club share members, and sharing our wine at locations in Portland and Newberg. A fulfilling month for our crew!

We were blessed with more crisp days full of sunshine, followed by just enough snow to cover the vineyard in white beauty (the perfect reminder that we were still in winter!). The month closed out with warmer, 50-degree temperatures with a bit of rain and more peeks of the sun. Spring is just around the corner as evidenced by the returning bluebirds, emerging daffodils and daylilies, and our freshly pruned vineyard.

As the days start to trend warmer, we invite you to observe the first signs of spring along with us and a Compris wine in your glass. Our new wine flight this month features two just-released Pinot noirs from the 2022 vintage, our Mountain Echo and As One, and we'd love to introduce them to you! Join us!

Your support means everything to us - thank you for being part of our journey! ~ The Compris Crew

Introducing our 2022 Mountain Echo Pinot Noir

We are excited to announce the release of our 2022 Mountain Echo Pinot Noir! This garnet-colored beauty speaks with quiet strength. Aromas of Bing cherry, cedar, nutmeg, and preserved citrus peel create inviting complexity. The palate is rich with fresh fruit, bright acidity, and subtle toasty barrel notes. A light, smooth finish lingers gracefully. Perfect for all seasons!

Inspired by India Arie’s India'Song, Mountain Echo embodies the quiet strength and soulful resonance of nature. Like the lyrics, 'I wanna go where the mountains are high enough to echo my song,' this wine carries a voice of depth and reflection. Its layered aromas and vibrant yet smooth finish mirror the harmony of a song carried on the wind—both grounding and uplifting, just like the mountains themselves.

The 2022 vintage was the second for Compris. It brought snow to start the growing season, and ended with 80 degree days in October. Even though the temperatures were quite varied throughout, the vintage delivered wines with a harmonious balance of richness and acidity. Don't miss your chance to be one of the first to taste the 2022 Mountain Echo Pinot Noir! Purchase Your Mountain Echo Here!

At the Vineyard

In the Wild

Pouring Purpose Into Every Bottle

At Compris Vineyard, giving back is part of who we are. Over the past three years, we’ve partnered with a different charitable organization each month to make a meaningful difference. In 2025, we’re taking a fresh approach, dedicating each quarter to one cause, allowing us to deepen our impact across four areas close to our hearts: child welfare, animal welfare, sustainability, and equitable opportunities for farmworkers.

From January through March, we’re proud to support Unidos Bridging Community. Based here in Yamhill County, Unidos strengthens connections between Latino and non-Latino communities, empowering individuals through programs like youth workforce development, citizenship classes, and advocacy for farmworker wellness. Their work aligns beautifully with our belief that strong communities are built when everyone has a seat at the table and the resources to thrive.

This quarter, every bottle of our As One Pinot Noir you enjoy helps advance Unidos’ mission of building bridges and creating opportunities. Together, we can raise a glass to connection, growth, and the vibrant spirit of our shared community. Learn more about Unidos’ inspiring work here.
