A beautiful bud on a grapevine at Compris Vineyard, getting ready for budbreak.

Dear Compris Family and Friends,

March came and went in what felt like an instant! The weather was constantly changing from day to day - from cold, rain-filled, windy days to sunny seventy degree days and back again. It was nice to get some warmth sprinkled between the rain - the wildflowers, cover crops, trees, and vines have been soaking it up. The pruned vines have been neatly tied down to their wires, which will provide the canes support throughout their journey this year. Everything is now set and ready for the growing season that is upon us, as the buds on the vines begin to grow.

As the days grow warmer, we welcome you to join us in trying to spot the first signs of bud break - preferably with a glass of Compris wine in hand. This month, our new tasting flight highlights the recently released 2023 Wavelength Chardonnay, and we can't wait to share it with you. Join us at the vineyard!

We appreciate your support—thanks for being an important part of our story! ~ The Compris Crew

Introducing our 2023 Wavelength Chardonnay

We are pleased to officially introduce our 2023 Wavelength Chardonnay!

The 2023 Wavelength is like a shift in perspective—just when you think you know it, it surprises you. On the nose, it carries a crisp, flinty minerality that’s woven together with honeydew, stone fruit, quince paste, and a touch of pear blossom. The palate follows suit with a vibrant, mouth-watering acidity, full of green pear and kumquat, balanced by the grounded texture of wet stone. The finish lingers with clarity, like a deep breath after a rush of energy. Inspired by Alanis Morissette’s All I Really Want, this wine is about finding clarity in the moments of tension and embracing life’s unpredictable rhythm.

2023 marks winemaker Aaron Kendall’s first vintage with us—and this is his first Compris Chardonnay! We’re thrilled to share it with you, whether on this month’s tasting flight or delivered to your door. Experience the vibrant depth and elegance of our Wavelength! Find Your Wavelength Here!

At the Vineyard

In the Wild

Pouring Purpose Into Every Bottle

At Compris Vineyard, giving back is part of who we are. Over the past three years, we’ve partnered with a different charitable organization each month to make a meaningful difference. In 2025, we’re taking a fresh approach, dedicating each quarter to one cause, allowing us to deepen our impact across four areas close to our hearts: child welfare, animal welfare, sustainability, and equitable opportunities for farmworkers.

At our winery, we believe in caring for people, especially children, as deeply as we care for the land. Just as we nurture each vine to thrive, we are committed to supporting the well-being of our community. From April through June, we’re proud to support Juliette's House, an organization dedicated to helping children affected by abuse begin their journey to healing.

Based here in Yamhill County, Juliette's House provides compassionate care, guiding families from fear and confusion to safety and hope. Their no-cost services—including clinical care, trauma recovery, abuse prevention education, and advocacy—help children and families rebuild their futures. They also empower the community through education, training those who work with children to prevent, recognize, and respond to abuse and neglect.

This quarter, every bottle of our As One Pinot Noir you enjoy helps support Juliette's House and their mission to create a safer, brighter future for all. Because just like in the vineyard, with the right care and support, children can grow, heal, and thrive. Donate Now!
