The Compris Team at the end of harvest day 1 of 2025 - Ella, Aaron, Dru, and Erin.

Dear Compris Family and Friends,

It’s day one of October, and all of our fruit - except the Cabernet Franc - has been harvested. Even the Syrah, a first for Compris, is in! Harvest this year has moved at a steady, manageable pace. We started a little earlier than expected, but were ready for that first pick. The following harvests came in at a nice size and timing, with our crew of friends and club family working hard while still having fun. Our focus is always on careful, diligent sorting - but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves along the way!

September treated us well with perfect weather, aside from a few scattered rainy days that we easily worked around. Dru and Aaron planned which picks and vineyard sections to harvest, while Erin and Ella, along with our friends, were ready at the crush pad whenever the fruit arrived. Many memories have been made and plenty of laughs shared. We can’t wait for the Cabernet Franc - our very first harvest of this varietal!

The vineyard is full of fall vibes right now. Grape leaves are changing color, sunrises glow in vibrant pinks and oranges, mornings are cool and crisp, and afternoons warm enough to shed a jacket or sweater. Overhead, the calls of migrating geese remind us that fall is truly here.

October is a beautiful month of transition, and we hope you’ll come soak it in with us. This month, we’re sharing a new flight featuring a variety of wines - white, rosé, and red - perfect for this season. Whether you’re relaxing on the terrace or at home with a four-legged companion and a soft blanket, don’t miss Ella’s first blog with us, where she shares insights on sustainability at Compris. A nice read paired with a glass of Compris wine!

Thank you for being here and supporting our passion.

Come Over October

Come Over October is a national movement that encourages us all to take a little extra time to invite friends, family, or colleagues to “come over” during the month of October. As the days turn crisp and the holidays draw near, a shared bottle of wine can be the perfect way to slow down and reconnect amidst the busyness of everyday life.

This season, your “come over” could look like cheering on the big game together, gathering around the fire pit, hosting a cozy soup night, or simply sharing a favorite bottle at the table. Whether you choose a theme, a food pairing, or keep it casual, the goal is simple: more meaningful moments with the people who matter most.

At Compris, our wines are crafted with exactly that spirit in mind—to be opened, poured, and enjoyed in good company. So grab a bottle, open your door, and raise a glass to Come Over October—cheers to you and yours!

2024 Valley Skies Rosé of Tempranillo

One wine we feel that's great to toast to togetherness is our last vintage of Valley Skies. This rosé captures the fleeting beauty of a Willamette Valley sunset and is a match for the changing weather - crisp enough for warm afternoons, but with enough body for cool evenings. Perfect for cozy gatherings, autumn fires, or simply raising a glass to each other! Find Your Valley Skies

Pouring Purpose Into Every Bottle

At Compris Vineyard, we know that life is best when shared—whether it’s a great bottle of wine with friends or a warm home with a four-legged companion. This quarter, we’re raising our glass in support of Newberg Animal Shelter, a local no-kill shelter dedicated to giving animals the care, compassion, and second chance they deserve.

The shelter relies on donations, adoption fees, and community support to continue its mission of placing animals in loving homes, providing pet food for local food banks, and ensuring every adoptable pet is spayed or neutered. This month, a portion of proceeds from every bottle of our Midnight Journey Syrah will go directly to Newberg Animal Shelter.

Just as every vintage tells a story, every animal waiting for adoption has one too—and you can help write their next chapter. Please consider visiting, donating, or volunteering to support this important work. Donate Now!
